I fully endorse the following websites not just as inspiration, but also many of them are groups or organizations that I highly recommend becoming involved with.

http://whywork.org
A pro-leisure and anti-wage-slavery group of people dedicated to exploring the question: why work? They actively promote alternatives to the wage slavery mindset and what we call "The Cult of the Job" which automatically equates having a job with making a living.

"Perhaps it is time the 'work ethic' was redefined and its idea reclaimed from the banal men who invoke it."
- Studs Terkel,Working

Jobs that Matter
Are you ready to combat social injustice, protect our environment, fight for the public interest? Work with groups like these:

http://lakotafreedom.com
Lakota Freedom - Freedom! Lakota Sioux Indians Declare Sovereign Nation Status! The site for the freedom loving Lakota from the Sioux Indian reservations of Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota and Montana who have suffered from cultural and physical genocide in the colonial apartheid system we have all been forced to live under. They are continuing the work that they were asked to do by the traditional chiefs and treaty councils, and 98 Indian Nations at the first Indian Treaty Council meeting at Standing Rock Sioux Indian Country in 1974. I encourage all freedom-hungry people anywhere and everywhere to get behind them and support their push! Also listen to broadcasts of Russell Means on: Republic of Lakotah

GrowthBusters: The world is finally doing something about climate change. People are changing their light bulbs and buying hybrid vehicles. Renewable energy is gaining ground. But is this enough? Policy-makers insist that environmental responsibility not come at the expense of economic growth. More is our mantra. More jobs, increasing income, bigger companies, more revenue. Is this a sustainable prosperity plan for the planet?...a nation?...or even a community? Help this film-in-progress. This is the most important issue we have today.

http://greenanarchy.org
Green Anarchy is a radical anti-civilization anarchist magazine produced by an anarchist collective in Oregon and is published twice a year. Green Anarchy began as a basic introduction to eco-anarchist and radical environmental ideas, but after a year of limited success, members of the current collective took on the project with an enthusiastic trajectory. It took a few more issues to get into stride, but by issue #8/Spring 2002, the magazine had gained an international reputation within the anarchist and environmental movements, as well as occasional mentions in the mainstream press (Fox News, Eugene Weekly, and more).

http://www.storyofstuff.com
The Story of Stuff is so well executed. In less than 20 minutes it puts the situation of the world economy's destruction of the earth in the perfect perspective that even a child or a moron with ADD could understand it. Here's a site that should be spread all over the internet and read by everyone.

http://www.rationalrevolution.net
Rational Revolution is in its own words, "is about documentation" that is "not exposed to public scrutiny to the extent that it should be." It has this article that is chock full of evidence that Jesus Christ may never have actually existed. It has also many fantastic articles as well, each more informative than the last.

www.whatawaytogomovie.com
What a Way to Go is a movie that is vital for the world to see. It should be required viewing for all schools everywhere. An Inconvenient Truth gives you some good info, but What a Way to Go gives you the WHOLE inconvenient truth that Gore couldn't have tackled. Features a huge array of people like Quinn, Endgame's author Jensen, and more. This film was so powerful that it gave me chills and motivation. Order it, watch it, donate to it... and then after you're done, join me in the online forum for those who have watched the film to connect: What a Way to Go Network

Ran Prieur -----
http://www.ranprieur.com
Ran Prieur is a radical writer whose goal is to live out of captivity, not bogged down by the world's rules, and he writes his thoughts so intelligently, in blogs and in articles... he's seen commenting in What a Way to Go, giving us the "Parable of the Tribes" and several witty thoughts.
The Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster is a huge new movement. Learn all about it in the Wikipedia article and join the carbo-God wave of Pastafarianism. Yes folks, I've totally been touched by his noodly appendage... there was no way I could resist jumping on board THAT!
http://green.yahoo.com
Yahoo! Green is definitely better than their OMG attempt at celebrity news, which we already have more than enough of. It is a news and information page for environmental updating and awareness. I think this is a good thing since millions use Yahoo everyday, so I'm glad to see them putting forth the effort.
The Rational Response Squad is an atheist web program and site for people who are fighting against the stupidity and destructive nature of theism. Yeah, these are the guys that took on Ray Comfort and Kirk Cameron, and kicked their lily white asses on television, hallelujah.

http://brianmclaren.net/
Brian D. McLaren: author, speaker, networker, Christian activist. He is the loudest voice for the Emerging Church, and a powerful new Christian advocate truly advancing a new Christianity of love and unity. If I were interested in trying my hand at Christian living again, it'd be through this movement, as his works are extraordinarily moving and true to truth. Other links to this movement are Karen Ward's blog: http://submerge.typepad.com/submergence/ and this list of other links in relation: http://www.apostleschurch.org/contactus_links.php
http://timothyfreke.com/
Timothy Freke's Website: Alliance for Lucid Living. These are the guys revealing the highly controversial gnostic and pagan origins of Christianity as it was supposed to have been spread out. Along with author Peter Gandy, Freke has written three of the most fascinating alternative ways of reading the gospels, as well as other great studies and works of newly resurrected faiths.
http://www.margaretcho.com/
Margaret Cho is the most inspiring comedienne of our time. With her outstanding work, I'm the One that I Want, people everywhere come to realize that we don't have to stand for being what they tell us to be anymore, and by masses they are joining in her revolution. She speaks out actively for diversity, freedom, choice, and truth, in a time when the conservative movement is trying so desperately to reinforce the old prejudices and narrow-minded ways that humanity is desperately growing free of. I would vote for this crazy woman for president!
